Blacked out installation of various cutouts and the quotation “don’t forget me here”, paired with works by the artist Constant. The cutouts – taken from photojournalism concerned with humanitarian crises – are drawn directly on to the walls in graphite. Hanging in front of these are a selection of paintings and light-sensitive works on paper by Constant. For conservation purposes they are protected by blackout curtains, silkscreened with an additional layer of cutouts and the quotation referenced in the title of the work. The interplay between these layers is activated by gallery attendants responsible for operating the curtains.
